DEVOID
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
When a human moves into a new apartment, they decide to explore the area to meet their new neighbours. But they must be careful as the building is not all as it seems.
DEVOID is a visual novel with point and click elements created in Ren'Py. Navigate through this building and meet your new neighbours. Be careful not to get trapped.
This was inspired by liminal spaces and photots of places you've seen in your nightmares. I wanted to try and replicate that calm, melancholy feeling while interacting with the environment. Although parts might look creepy, it's not intended as a horror game, but more mysterious and strange.
Play time is around 5-15 minutes depending on how fast you read or go through the options.
The gameplay is simple with a linear story. It has 11 endings (10 bad endings and 1 true ending).

This was so wholesome, nice and a warm game. The foreshadowings and endings were all nice and the true ending was just great; going through all the dialogue and getting to know more about all the characters was just super nice and they all felt unique and intriguing! The art is super cool too! It in a way adds more intrigue, mystery and body to the full game and story. Would love to see more of them if you do expand on the game, but this was well done and super fun!

It was a great visual novel overall! You hit that mysterious element perfectly. At the same time, I found the characters rather charming and cute. Everything blended well together here; the artwork and music choice complimented the story wonderfully.
I always enjoy trying to see all of the endings in games like this, and a lot of them here were quite interesting although somewhat painful (emotionally speaking) at times. However, this only emphasizes how good the writing for the characters was; despite being shadowy blobs, they all possess their unique personalities, and it was easy to grow attached to them, even given the short length of the game.
Fantastic work overall, and I’m glad I got to experience your game!

Amazing game! the music and the sounds libary are really well done, and the art is just gorgeous! But the thing about the game to me is the relationship you develop with all the charaters and how there personalitys are so well explained just with dyallog, I found my self really intredted in what each charter tougth about the bulding and how it changed their lives. A five stars for sure!
